Privacy Policy

When you sign up we collect your email address (required for sign-in), and the profile fields you provide during onboarding: first and last name, your role relative to private funds (GP / LP / both / neither), and how you heard about us. We log your searches and reports for your account history and for service analytics. If you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card and stores a customer reference we keep alongside your account.

Your email is used to authenticate you (magic-link sign-in) and to send transactional messages such as receipts. Your profile is used to personalize the product and to inform our roadmap. Search and report logs are retained for your reference and to operate the service.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your identifying data with third parties except as needed to operate the service (e.g. SendGrid for email delivery, Stripe for billing, Railway for hosting).

Background-check content is compiled from public sources including SEC EDGAR, federal court records, and the public web. The subjects of those reports are fund sponsors and their professional principals. If you believe information about you is inaccurate, contact us and we’ll investigate.

We use a single first-party session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can request access to or deletion of your account data at any time. Email us and we’ll respond within 30 days.
